In the last post we talked about being rooted in the word so we’ll be able to attack the devil when he tries to wrestle with us. I discovered recently that in the new testament, many 3:16 verses were major keys and so in this post, I’ve compiled the 3:16 verses of all the books in the Bible that have 3:16 verses. You’ll have to read the context of the verses to understand them. Some you might already know, like John 3:16 but it’s still advisable that you know the context in which the verse is said. Sometimes popular verses are used out of context. And while we’re at it let’s play a game shall we? Before checking to see the context in which the verse was used, take a guess! Are there Bible scholars in this place???? And we begin in 3, 2, 1…

REVELATION 3:16 AMP
I like how the verses transform from the time of the law to the era of grace which we’re now in. I could not guess the context of many of the verses. I had to go back and read them. You can decide to do a verse a day so as to study it deeply before moving to the next one. I like the fact that 2 Tim 3:16 which talks about all scripture being God breathed is included here and 2 Peter 3:16 that talks about how scriptures are often misinterpreted is included too. My favorite of all of them is Revelations though. What a way to crown it up. From these verses, I realized that my walk with Christ still needs a lot of intimacy. Like there’s so much I still need to know! So much He still needs to teach and reveal to me. It also reminded me of how much the old testament has been phased or watered out. 2 Tim. 3:16 refers to the whole bible and not just the new testament so I’m going to do more studies on the Old Testament.I just remembered a teaching of Andrew Wommack that said if we’re phasing out the Old Testament then we should not claim its promises as well. That’s where I’ll leave you!
Did you fail the challenge like me, you didn’t get up to half? Or you managed to pass, got half? Or you passed in flying colors, got most of them? Tell me about it and what you’ve learnt or realized from going through these verses. And can you guess the books of the bible that were not included without checking your bibles?
Do have a lovely day!!!
P.S: Bible Verses should not just be read and highlighted and forgotten. They should be memorized as well so try to have a bible verse for the day or week or month at least. Our bible verse for the month here at Phos is below.
